Here are a few pages from a 1943 issue of Patoruzu drawn by Guillermo Divito. I hope you like 'em. If you want to see some more examples of his work check out this pretty sweet post on The Cartoon Retro Forum.
i like the old timey art. and i bought the nemo annual when it was new. i'm old timey. i spent many hours in the College Avenue library (while a student at Rutgers) looking up old timey stuff in the old magazines they stored in the basement. it was a treasure trove. i haven't been there in years so, i don't know if it's still there. and i think that kind of research is a lost passion. no one in LA seems to know who any artists are unless they worked in animation. so, as much as i'd love to see more of your work-i do enjoy seeing these posts. particularly since i've never seen much of this stuff.
"NEMO the classic comics library" was a great magazine and i recommend it to any student of the comic strip.
